More on the enemies - I’m not a fan of the new angels. The GOOD cutscenes are at the start and end of the game but there’s no eye candy inbetween, unless youre a big fan of the environments, which do appear to have had more dev time put into them than the last game. Too many scenes where Loki is having a breakdown, not enough where he is being a good character. The story itself has some awesome concepts, which Kamiya himself likely wanted to put in the sequel, but Loki and Loptr as characters are very. There are far fewer real cutscenes than in the first game, and the clock cutscenes feel out of place, making the scenes claustrophobic. Like the developers didn’t spend enough time on the really important shit. So, with all due respect: Why does Bayo2 feel like it was rushed out the door? These issues don’t feel like they’re part of a bad game, they feel like it’s unfinished. I’ve been playing Bayo1 basically non stop for the past week or so, and on this playthrough I’ve been experimenting with a number of mechanics that I failed to take advantage of last time. I’ve played many hours of Bayo 1, DMC 3+ 5, just finished DMC4 and ripped into it because it’s a very weak entry. However, now I’m coming back to the game after reaching a much higher skill level. Alright, I have been in this community a while, I’ve seen tons of videos on both games, I’ve seen Yoshesque destroy the second game in her commentary, and I’ve probably made a post just like this a year ago.
